How often should I book a full groom?+
This depends on your dog's breed and coat type. Dogs with fast-growing coats like Cockapoos and Poodles typically need grooming every 6–8 weeks. Dogs with slower-growing coats may only need a full groom every 10–12 weeks. We'll advise you on the right schedule for your dog.
Can you groom my dog to a specific breed standard?+
Yes. Rachel is City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 qualified and trained in breed-standard cuts for all breeds. If you have a preferred style or reference photos, please share them when you book — we'll always aim to deliver exactly what you have in mind.
Do I need to do anything to prepare my dog for their groom?+
Ideally, give your dog a short walk before their appointment to help them relax. Avoid feeding a large meal immediately before. If your dog has any mats or tangles, let us know in advance — severely matted coats may require additional time or a change to the planned style.
Is the salon clean and safe?+
Absolutely. Our salon is cleaned and sanitised between every appointment. Your dog is the only dog present during their groom, so there's no cross-contamination, no stress from other animals, and no risk of picking up anything from another dog.
